St. Mark's UMC in the French Quarter

"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me."
Matthew 25:35 NIV
Mission
Kairos Prison Ministry
Kairos Prison Ministry International, Inc. (Kairos) is a lay-led, interdenominational Christian ministry in which men and women volunteers bring Christ's love and forgiveness to prisoners and their families. The word, Kairos, is a Greek word meaning in "God's Special Time" or in the "Fullness of Time," indicating an opportunity for our participants and guests to reconsider their life choices.
Partnership
Make A Food Bag
Churches and organizations are invited to support our outreach ministry by making food bags. Bags are distributed to the hungry who visit us in need of help. Food bags are filled with nonperishable food and drink items, Scripture and information about the church.
Advocacy
Together New Orleans
St. Mark’s is a founding member of Together New Orleans, a faith-based organizing network that works for solutions to the city and state’s biggest problems. Together New Orleans is the largest grassroots organization in Louisiana history, representing more than 200,000 people.
Outreach
Meal Ministry
Each Sunday, following worship, members of St. Mark's, along with her mission partners and her meal guests, gather in the sanctuary for a time of Table fellowship. The heart of this ministry is one that reflects the heart of Jesus when He looked upon the masses and was moved deeply with compassion. St. Mark's, in harmony with her generous meal ministry partners, looks upon those with whom we serve with deep compassion.
